Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know
Couples typically spend $4,500–$7,000 on their wedding photography with me.
There's no travel fee for any weddings in the San Francisco Bay Area (75 miles or less from San Francisco). For distances beyond that, I typically only require the costs of transportation and two nights of accommodations.
I typically deliver around 800 photos for an 8-hour wedding, though every wedding is different and that number can fluctuate quite a bit. I provide high-resolution, watermark-free digital images through a password-protected online gallery you can share with friends and family — and order professionally printed prints from, or download directly.
Absolutely! I highly encourage printing, so I provide high-resolution images for that purpose. While I offer prints from a professional lab through my gallery, you're welcome to use the printer of your choice — though I can't guarantee color accuracy or sharpness from places like Snapfish or your local Walgreens.
Every delivered photo is exposure and color corrected to fit the look and style of my work.
I sum up my style as visual storytelling — a blend of documentary, lifestyle, traditional, and artistic photography. Throughout most of the day I capture moments as they happen: genuine actions, emotions, and reactions. These form the foundation of your story. For couples' portraits, I draw on the environment and the feeling of the day. And of course, the family photos — traditional and essential.
As many as you'd like — provided appropriate time has been allotted. I believe family photos are an incredibly important part of the day. They may not feel like the highlight in the moment, but they absolutely stand the test of time and simply cannot be replicated later.
Sure am! Let me know if your venue needs my insurance information and I'll be happy to get the necessary documents sent their way.
I shoot with Nikon cameras (currently Nikon Z8s) and a variety of f/1.4 prime lenses, plus a few specialty pieces of equipment. I also bring flashes to light receptions when appropriate.
Yes, on both counts. I bring backup equipment to every shoot, and I'm extremely protective of your images. My cameras write to two cards simultaneously, and a copy never leaves my possession until I can back up onto two separate hard drives. From there, everything is uploaded to the cloud as a tertiary backup.
I don't share clients' personal information, but you can read reviews from other couples on The Knot or WeddingWire.
Of course! Head over to my About Me page, or drop me a line and we can schedule time to chat in person or over Skype/FaceTime — I'd love to connect.
